Quietly ensure the Gem directory dir
contains all the proper subdirectories for handling default gems. If we can’t create a directory due to a permission problem, then we will silently continue.
If mode
is given, missing directories are created with this mode.
World-writable directories will never be created.
Execute the provided block, but preserve the exception mode
BigDecimal.save_exception_mode do BigDecimal.mode(BigDecimal::EXCEPTION_OVERFLOW, false) BigDecimal.mode(BigDecimal::EXCEPTION_NaN, false) BigDecimal(BigDecimal('Infinity')) BigDecimal(BigDecimal('-Infinity')) BigDecimal(BigDecimal('NaN')) end
For use with the BigDecimal::EXCEPTION_*

Returns reference counter of Dispatch interface of WIN32OLE
object. You should not use this method because this method exists only for debugging WIN32OLE
.
Breaks the buffer into lines that are shorter than maxwidth
Counts objects for each T_IMEMO
type.
This method is only for MRI developers interested in performance and memory usage of Ruby programs.
It returns a hash as:
{:imemo_ifunc=>8, :imemo_svar=>7, :imemo_cref=>509, :imemo_memo=>1, :imemo_throw_data=>1}
If the optional argument, result_hash, is given, it is overwritten and returned. This is intended to avoid probe effect.
The contents of the returned hash is implementation specific and may change in the future.
In this version, keys are symbol objects.
This method is only expected to work with C Ruby.
Returns whether or not the struct of type type
contains member
. If it does not, or the struct type can’t be found, then false is returned. You may optionally specify additional headers
in which to look for the struct (in addition to the common header files).
If found, a macro is passed as a preprocessor constant to the compiler using the type name and the member name, in uppercase, prepended with HAVE_
.
For example, if have_struct_member('struct foo', 'bar')
returned true, then the HAVE_STRUCT_FOO_BAR
preprocessor macro would be passed to the compiler.
HAVE_ST_BAR
is also defined for backward compatibility.
Called with encoding
when the YAML
stream starts. This method is called once per stream. A stream may contain multiple documents.
See the constants in Psych::Parser
for the possible values of encoding
.
Like Net::HTTP.get
, but returns a Net::HTTPResponse
object instead of the body string.
Sends a POST request to the server; forms the response into a Net::HTTPResponse
object.
The request is based on the Net::HTTP::Post
object created from string path
, string data
, and initial headers hash initheader
.
With no block given, returns the response object:
http = Net::HTTP.new(hostname) http.post('/todos', 'xyzzy') # => #<Net::HTTPCreated 201 Created readbody=true>
With a block given, calls the block with the response body and returns the response object:
http.post('/todos', 'xyzzy') do |res| p res end # => #<Net::HTTPCreated 201 Created readbody=true>
Output:
"{\n \"xyzzy\": \"\",\n \"id\": 201\n}"
