Returns a valid argument to make_expires and the renewer or nil.

Given true, nil, or Numeric, returns that value and nil (no actual renewer). Otherwise it returns an expiry value from calling it.renew and the renewer.

Builds and installs indices.

returns an integer in (-infty, 0] a number closer to 0 means the dependency is less constraining

dependencies w/ 0 or 1 possibilities (ignoring version requirements) are given very negative values, so they always sort first, before dependencies that are unconstrained

Regenerates plugin wrappers after removal.

Returns an Array of the components defined from the COMPONENT Array.

Returns the one-character string which cause Encoding::UndefinedConversionError.

ec = Encoding::Converter.new("ISO-8859-1", "EUC-JP")
begin
  ec.convert("\xa0")
rescue Encoding::UndefinedConversionError
  puts $!.error_char.dump   #=> "\xC2\xA0"
  p $!.error_char.encoding  #=> #<Encoding:UTF-8>
end

Generates a new key (pair).

If a String is given as the first argument, it generates a new random key for the algorithm specified by the name just as ::generate_parameters does. If an OpenSSL::PKey::PKey is given instead, it generates a new random key for the same algorithm as the key, using the parameters the key contains.

See ::generate_parameters for the details of options and the given block.

Example

pkey_params = OpenSSL::PKey.generate_parameters("DSA", "dsa_paramgen_bits" => 2048)
pkey_params.priv_key #=> nil
pkey = OpenSSL::PKey.generate_key(pkey_params)
pkey.priv_key #=> #<OpenSSL::BN 6277...

Returns the trailing (‘parameters’) part of the value of field 'Content-Type', or nil if no such field exists; see Content-Type response header:

res = Net::HTTP.get_response(hostname, '/todos/1')
res['content-type'] # => "application/json; charset=utf-8"
res.type_params     # => {"charset"=>"utf-8"}

Enumerates the parents of directory.

Creates a new DH instance from scratch by generating random parameters and a key pair.

size

The desired key size in bits.

generator

The generator.

Creates a new DSA instance by generating a private/public key pair from scratch.

Creates a new EC instance with a new random private and public key.

Generates an RSA keypair.

size

The desired key size in bits.

exponent

An odd Integer, normally 3, 17, or 65537.

THIS METHOD IS INSECURE, PRIVATE INFORMATION CAN LEAK OUT!!!

Stores all parameters of key to the hash. The hash has keys ‘n’, ‘e’, ‘d’, ‘p’, ‘q’, ‘dmp1’, ‘dmq1’, ‘iqmp’.
