This method verifies that there are no (obvious) ambiguities with the provided col_sep
and strip
parsing options. For example, if col_sep
and strip
were both equal to \t
, then there would be no clear way to parse the input.
Return the best specification that contains the file matching path
amongst the specs that are not activated.
Called after resolution ends (either successfully or with an error). By default, prints a newline.
@return [void]
Returns the size of optional parameters.
tobj = WIN32OLE_TYPE.new('Microsoft Excel 9.0 Object Library', 'Workbook') method = WIN32OLE_METHOD.new(tobj, 'SaveAs') puts method.size_opt_params # => 4
Returns IO
instance tied to ARGF for writing if inplace mode is enabled.
Handle BasicObject
instances
Return the native thread ID which is used by the Ruby thread.
The ID depends on the OS. (not POSIX thread ID returned by pthread_self(3))
On Linux it is TID returned by gettid(2).
On macOS it is the system-wide unique integral ID of thread returned by pthread_threadid_np(3).
On FreeBSD it is the unique integral ID of the thread returned by pthread_getthreadid_np(3).
On Windows it is the thread identifier returned by GetThreadId().
On other platforms, it raises NotImplementedError
.
NOTE: If the thread is not associated yet or already deassociated with a native thread, it returns nil. If the Ruby implementation uses M:N thread model, the ID may change depending on the timing.
Calls CRYPTO_mem_ctrl(CRYPTO_MEM_CHECK_ON). Starts tracking memory allocations. See also OpenSSL.print_mem_leaks
.
This is available only when built with a capable OpenSSL
and –enable-debug configure option.
Enable to measure GC
time. You can get the result with GC.stat(:time)
. Note that GC
time measurement can cause some performance overhead.
Return measure_total_time
flag (default: true
). Note that measurement can affect the application performance.
Returns a String
containing the API compatibility version of Ruby
Returns the latest release version of RubyGems.
Returns the version of the latest release-version of gem name
The default signing certificate chain path
Default options for gem commands for Ruby packagers.
The options here should be structured as an array of string “gem” command names as keys and a string of the default options as values.
Example:
def self.operating_system_defaults
{ 'install' => '--no-rdoc --no-ri --env-shebang', 'update' => '--no-rdoc --no-ri --env-shebang' }
end
Invoked by IO#wait
, IO#wait_readable
, IO#wait_writable
to ask whether the specified descriptor is ready for specified events within the specified timeout
.
events
is a bit mask of IO::READABLE
, IO::WRITABLE
, and IO::PRIORITY
.
Suggested implementation should register which Fiber
is waiting for which resources and immediately calling Fiber.yield
to pass control to other fibers. Then, in the close
method, the scheduler might dispatch all the I/O resources to fibers waiting for it.
Expected to return the subset of events that are ready immediately.
